While playing Genshin Impact, I've always been very fond of Yae Miko. Over time, it wasn't just admiration for the character—I gradually began to have the thought of bringing her into reality.
This time, purchasing a Shedoll full size sex doll was a relatively rational attempt. I wanted a certain level of character resemblance while keeping the price and craftsmanship within an acceptable range.
Why I Chose Shedoll
At the beginning, I actually looked at quite a few brands. After comparing them for a while, I gradually felt that Shedoll better matched my needs.
I mainly compared several brands that focus on Asian silicone sex doll products. The comparison is roughly as follows:
| Brand | Price Range | Overall Style | Pros | Why I Didn't Choose It |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aitia | $2000–$3000 | Refined realistic style | Excellent makeup details, higher-quality materials | Limited customization for appearance and functions, cannot be configured as desired |
| Doll Senior | $1600–$2800 | More realistic/human-like | Visually pleasing, overall natural look | Feels more like a real person, less character/role identity |
| ElsaBabe | $1000–$2800 | Anime style | Strong anime aesthetic with distinctive style | Slightly too cartoonish, can feel unrealistic |
| Shedoll | $1500–$3000 | 2.5D style | Balanced style, many configuration options, overall well-rounded | Details and tactile feel are not top-tier |
In the end, the reason I chose Shedoll is quite simple—it sits right in a middle ground position.
It's not as realistic as Doll Senior, nor as anime-oriented as ElsaBabe. Instead, it offers a balanced look with some character identity, without being overly stylized or unrealistic.
It works well for setups that combine a hint of character with a natural real-world appearance. In addition, it offers a wide range of configuration options, allowing for flexible customization.
Of course, in terms of tactile feel and fine details, it cannot compete with higher-end brands. However, within this price range, if you want to balance appearance, style, and usability, Shedoll is still a solid choice.
First Impressions Out of the Box
Right after unboxing, the first impression was quite impressive, especially the sex doll head.
The face looks clean without a cheap appearance. The makeup is refined, and the facial proportions are visually pleasing. It leans slightly toward anime style, but still looks natural enough in a real-world setting.
However, upon closer inspection and handling, some minor issues become noticeable: faint mold lines can be seen on the body surface (not very obvious, but visible up close); the skin is relatively smooth without fine skin texture; and the paint finish is somewhat simple, lacking strong tonal layering.
Styling Performance (Cosplay-Oriented Experience)
After switching to pink-purple long hair and a shrine maiden outfit, the overall atmosphere really came together.
This is where the 2.5D style becomes clear—it does not aim for full realism, but instead creates a sense of character presence.
Shedoll performs reasonably well in this aspect, especially suitable for users who enjoy roleplay or cosplay sex doll setups.
Body: 165cm + E Cup Full Size Sex Doll
I chose the 165cm E cup ultra-light version. The first visual impression is very good—the proportions look natural, and the chest shape is aesthetically pleasing without exaggerated curves.
The leg shape is also well done, which is actually better than many products in the same price range. Clothing fits well without distortion, and the overall silhouette aligns with Asian aesthetic preferences.
However, the tactile experience is slightly different from expectations. The chest has some softness when pressed, but there is still an internal structure you can feel—it is not fully natural flesh-like softness.
The body overall has elasticity, but not overly soft, more like a springy but not loose texture.
• The sides of the chest feel slightly firm
• The skin is smooth without fine texture
• The touch feels more like silicone rather than realistic skin
In terms of weight, this ultra-light version is around 34.5kg. It is lighter than standard versions, making it somewhat easier to move.
However, over 30kg still has substantial weight—it is not something that can be moved frequently without effort.
Sex Doll Head (2.0 Version)
I chose the 2.0 sex doll head (with oral cavity, no blinking function), mainly because it is sufficient and avoids increasing the budget too much.
Here is a simple breakdown of the head versions:
• 2.0: Includes oral cavity, currently the mainstream option
• 3.0: Adds blinking function on top of 2.0, giving a more lively appearance
(Currently, only certain heads such as f6066 and f6017 support blinking)
In my experience, the 2.0 version is a balanced choice.
The head sculpt looks very good overall. The face has a slightly anime-inspired style, with an expression that feels somewhat delicate.
The eyelashes are individually implanted, and details like eyebrows are well executed, making it look more dimensional than product photos.
The purple eyes are also quite fitting, especially when paired with styling, enhancing the Yae Miko-like aesthetic.
However, the eye positioning is manually adjustable rather than mechanical. After learning more, this is due to structural limitations—the oral cavity takes up internal space, and combined with the eye structure length, it is not feasible to implement a mechanical system.
In practice, manual adjustment is less convenient but more stable. It does take some time to get used to, but becomes manageable after a few attempts.
Oral Cavity Structure
This was an area I paid close attention to.
The internal oral structure is present, including tongue and teeth, with a depth of around 10cm. It is not shallow or poorly executed, and overall is better than lower-end sex doll.
However, upon closer inspection, the teeth are not very detailed. There is no clear distinction between teeth and gums—they appear more integrated as a single piece, lacking layered separation.
Additionally, during use:
- The tongue position feels slightly retracted and not very natural
- The throat area is angled upward, which can look slightly unnatural up close (this is due to structural constraints with neck connection)
- It is a non-through design, so cleaning is required after use, which can be somewhat inconvenient
Hands and Mobility
I chose the upgraded articulated finger version.
The fingers are flexible and can bend, making them much more natural compared to fixed hand types. This makes posing and photography easier and gives a more realistic appearance.
However, hand load-bearing is limited. It is not suitable for supporting body weight, such as using the hands to support the body in certain poses for extended periods, as this may cause damage.
Another point is that visible seams can be seen around the arms. While not obvious at a normal viewing distance, they can be noticeable up close for users who care about fine details.
Butt (Important Consideration)
I chose not to upgrade to the soft (gel) butt.
This decision was based on user feedback and official explanations. The soft butt option currently has some stability concerns, including:
- Internal structural instability: possible uneven softness or partial collapse during use
- Layer separation or bulging between outer and inner structure
- Shape deformation over long-term use
- Higher risk of damage during shipping due to pressure or uneven force
- Repairs are more difficult and maintenance costs are higher
Based on these factors, I opted for the standard configuration for a more stable and reliable setup.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.
It feels like a well-balanced product—appearance is solid, atmosphere is good, and while there are compromises in certain details, they are reasonable within this price range.
- Fans of anime / cosplay style
- Users who care about appearance and overall atmosphere
- Buyers with a moderate budget
- Those seeking highly realistic tactile feel
- Users who demand extremely high detail precision
